We are often impressed and attracted by people doing cool arm balances (poses like handstands, headstands, forearm or hand balancing postures like scorpion, crow, side balances etc). Some of us think “these are impossible” or “I want to do this!”, yet in your regular yoga class, we see little opportunity to really break through. The class is oriented to oriented people with some yoga experience, or advanced practitioners who want to learn or improve their inversions and arm balances and understand how they work.
In this 2 hour workshop, Charly Diaz will break down the obstacles to achieve these postures (mainly our mind, and how to break the “fear factor”), and the physics and biomechanics theory behind mastering these poses, and smooth transitions between them.
There will be physical work, and achieving poses during the workshop will happen depending on your background, but is really irrelevant, as you will walk out with the knowledge to develop them all. Come prepared with a notebook to take notes, an open mind to try a different approach to balance, set personal goals and take homework back to your mat and your life).
